KZN Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit secures four life sentences
The suspects appeared in various courts in the province.

Detectives from the KwaZulu-Natal Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit embarked on various operations from March 1, 2021 to March 31, 2021.
“During the operations, detectives arrested 326 suspects for various crimes including rape, attempted rape, sexual assault, kidnapping, child abandonment and assault with intent to cause grievously bodily harm,” said provincial police spokesman, Colonel Thembeka Mbele
The determination of the KwaZulu-Natal detectives led to 20 convictions, which includes four life sentence and 116 years imprisonment behind bars.
The suspects appeared in different courts in the province where they were convicted and sentenced for violating women and children.
The KwaZulu-Natal Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is committed to fighting all crimes directed at women and children.
