The Umbango Sri Siva Soobramoniar Temple will be observing its Chitra Paruvam Kavady from this Saturday (17th) until Monday, April 26.
The temple’s Shree Hanuman Jayanti will also be observed on Monday, April 26.
Devotees and their families are invited to attend.
The following Obayam times and procedures for the 10 days of the Chitra Paruvam Kavady will be observed:
Hawan will start at 3pm on Saturday, April 17 and on Sunday, April 18.
On week days the hawan will begin at 5.30pm.
Kavady bookings will be open at the temple from Saturday, April 17.
The temple’s chariot will go out to the districts of Port Shepstone for devotees to offer their prayers on Sunday, April 25 from 9am.
All other communications will be announced daily or one is welcome to contact any of the executive members of the temple.
The executive committee stresses that it is the duty of all devotees to follow Covid-19 protocols at all times for the safety of all.
No mask, no entry.
Pre-packed prasadam will be served daily.
