Car show raises funds for SPCA
Scott Kvalsvig, chairman of the Lower South Coast SPCA, thanked KZN Foundation and all of the event participants for supporting the SPCA and raising much-needed funds.
A car show fundraiser was held by non-profit organisation, KwaZulu-Natal Foundation, at Scottburgh Mall last Saturday.
The Cruise-in 4 a Cause event, which generated funds for the Lower South Coast SPCA, attracted many supporters from various parts of the province.
Car fanatics were able to compete in various competitions such as a Show Off, Sound Off, Glow Off and Limbo, and the best in each category were awarded trophies.
To draw in even more attention and raise more money, a few pythons were brought in, which people could take pictures with, or of, for a small fee.
Scott Kvalsvig, chairman of the Lower South Coast SPCA, thanked KZN Foundation and all of the event participants for supporting the SPCA and raising much-needed funds.
“The SPCA needs this type of funding as it costs a lot to help animals in distress,” he said.
“The funds will help us maintain vehicles, pick up and assist hurt or abandoned animals, buy fuel for our vehicles and much more.”
Organiser Ashen Ramadhar, described the event as a day filled with nothing but good vibes and thanked all who helped.
“Successful events only happen when people work together and support one another,” he said.
