The HOD for Community Services at Ray Nkonyeni Municipality, Mthandeni Ndwalane, has been suspended.
He was appointed to the position in July 2017.
Simon April, spokesman for RNM, said Mr Ndwalane was on precautionary suspension, but could not disclose any further details as it is a matter between employer and employee.
