Police recently arrested a 23-year-old male suspected of murdering a man (30) at Umbilibili farm in Umzinto earlier this month.
On the night of the incident, locals in the area heard gunshots at 11pm near a carwash and promptly contacted Umzinto Saps.
Upon their arrival, a man’s lifeless body was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigations followed and the arrest was made.
The murder suspect has since appeared in court and was remained in police custody until a formal bail application on Thursday (29th) this week.
The case is being investigated by Detective Sergeant Jairus Perumal of Umzinto Detective Service.
