WATCH: Protest action blocks R61 (N2) near Thongazi petrol station

Motorists are encouraged to be extra cautious when travelling to Port Edward.

A taxi strike blocked the route on the R61/N2 near the Thongazi Caltex petrol station this morning.

Traffic has been rerouted.

The protest is over the condition of roads in the KwaNzimakwe area. 

This was planned as peaceful protest action.

This is an evolving story and will be updated as more information comes to light.
