Police investigate assault incident

Police have confirmed that it is investigating the incident.

A video of two teenage boys allegedly fighting has been widely circulated and viewed on social media, after the incident occurred in Albersville last Friday.

The public has also taken to social media to condemn the incident.

One of the boys has since been hospitalised.

Police have confirmed that it is investigating the incident.

“Port Shepstone Saps has opened a case of assault GBH (grievous bodily harm) after a 14-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted by another teenage boy on Friday, May 28 in Robin Road, Albersville,” said police spokesperson, Captain Petros Mpinge.

“No one has been charged or arrested as yet. An investigation is underway,” he added.
