Comment on Aliwal Shoal’s draft management plan

The public may send comments by email, post, or drop them off at listed Ezemvelo offices. All comments will close on Wednesday, June 30.

Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife is asking interested and affected stakeholders to submit their comments regarding the draft Aliwal Shoal management plan.

The Aliwal Shoal Marine Protected Area, as recently expanded by a proclamation in the Government Gazette 42479, is in the process of revising the Aliwal Shoal management plan as per the National Environmental Management Protected Areas Act Section 39 (3), and a draft has now been produced for public comments.

The draft management plan will be distributed and made available for comment in the following ways:

1. An electronic copy will be emailed to Aliwal Shoal listed stakeholders.

2. Electronic copy is available on the Ezemvelo Website: www.kznwildlife.com

3. Hard copies are available for collection at Ezemvelo offices in Durban (25 Stellawood Road, Umbilo Durban), Scottburgh (5 Thira Village, 142 Scott Street), and Port Shepstone (Umzimkulu Canegrowers Association Building, 20 Range Road, Oslo Beach).
