Sardines finally come to Scottburgh
The beach was packed with netters, boats, fishermen and many locals all trying to get in on the action.
After what seemed to be a dry sardine season for Scottburgh locals, the little silver fish finally decided to make a grand entrance at Scottburgh main beach by the thousands this week Tuesday (June 22).

The beach was packed with netters, boats, fishermen and many locals all trying to get in on the action.
A few beachgoers mentioned that they had seen at least nine nets maybe more netted that morning.

Due to the large amount of fish netted and the hundreds of crates loaded, some of the crates were being sold for as little as R100.
