Motorcyclist killed in Sonti

A motorcyclist (25) received fatal injuries when his motorcycle collided with a bakkie travelling on Redcliffe Road in Sonti last Monday.

According to police, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Umzinto Saps have since opened a case of culpable homicide for investigation.

The motor cyclist’s passenger and bakkie occupants were treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to the Umzinto Clinic and GJ Crookes Hospital for further treatment.

The body was removed and an autopsy will be conducted at the Park Rynie Medico Legal Mortuary.
