Payal flies Miss SA crown high
Payal says she has always been deeply passionate about using her potential to her utmost ability and this would be the ideal opportunity.
The search is on for the young woman who will follow in the footsteps of the current Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida.
Payal Ramlall is an entrant from the South Coast.
Entries for Miss South Africa 2021 close today (June 24) at midnight and the Herald and its readers wish Payal all the best.
Payal (26) decided to take a leap of faith again by entering Miss SA 2021 as she says it’s a formidable platform to make a difference on important issues in society.
This multi-talented woman manages her own business in Umhlanga and is currently completing her LLB law degree.
Payal says she has always been deeply passionate about using her potential to her utmost ability and this would be the ideal opportunity.
“Being a future attorney, one has to have integrity and the ability to speak up. I’m incredibly outspoken when I come across injustices.”
One of the key areas that she wants to make a difference in, is inspiring the youth and individuals not to let their circumstances prevent them from achieving the impossible.

“Often we go through difficult seasons in life but those seasons shape us into who we are meant to be. As a petite Indian woman I want to represent inclusivity and equality of all women regardless of her height, weight or the colour of her skin.”
Payal feels women are often reduced or limited in their career paths because of the way they look. “I want to contribute to the shift in our society’s mindset where we stop defining a person by their physical appearance and start seeing the beauty of their mindset because that is where the true value of a person lies.”
