Six injured, one critical, in Mtwalume crash

The jaws of life had to be used to extricate people from the vehicle.

Emergency services attended to a crash near Koelwaters in Mtwalume last night.

Rob Mckenzie from KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Services said a bakkie and a SUV collided head-on, leaving six people injured.

One person is in a critical condition, three are seriously injured and two have minor injuries.

“The jaws of life had to be used to extricate patients from the vehicle,” he said.
