Register for Covid-19 jab
There has been a slow response from people aged 50 to 59, to register for the Covid-19 vaccination on the Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS).
The management of Port Shepstone Regional Hospital extends its gratitude to all staff who worked amid the recent unrest, especially as the focus is on providing Covid-19 vaccinations to the population.
There has been a slow response from people aged 50 to 59, to register for the Covid-19 vaccination on the Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS).
“We have noted with concern that people from this age group are not in coming in large numbers for their vaccinations, yet they form the biggest part of our population. We urge them to register and report to their nearest public sector site once they receive a notification,” said Phumza Morai, PRO at Port Shepstone Regional Hospital.
While vaccinations are prioritised for those aged 50 and above, those aged 35 to 49 can register and a limited number of walk-ins will be accommodated at the sites depending on the available capacity and vaccine doses at each individual site.
“We thank the public for working together with us, for their co-operation and patience at the vaccination sites,” said Ms Morai.
