Margate Operational Command Centre (sector teams) conducted crime prevention stop and search duties at various locations last Friday.
These locations included Gcilima, Mvutshini, Margate CBD and Masinenge.
According to police spokesman, Sergeant Sibu Ncane, a 45-year-old man was arrested and charged for selling liquor without a liquor license at Masinenge.
He was released after paying a R500 fine.
“Police would like to warn those who do not comply with liquor regulations that they will be prosecuted,” said Ncane.
