WATCH: Truck transporting alcohol topples over, looters move in

The truck which overturned on the R612.

A large truck carrying alcoholic beverages overturned and went off the road on the R612 Ellingham Road near Umzinto earlier today (28th).

According to a source who was at the scene, no one was seriously injured.

Locals living near the road and a few motorists travelling in that vicinity used the opportunity to loot any remaining goods which weren’t damaged.

Circumstances surrounding the accident are unknown at this stage and an official police report is awaited.
