Policeman serves public on and off duty

The policeman began doing so a little while back, but would like to now encourage many others to sacrifice some of their time to do the same.

Warrant Officer Sipho Zama of Umzinto Saps has spent some of his free time volunteering at the SPCA charity shop in Scottburgh on Saturdays.

The policeman began doing so a little while back, but would like to now encourage many others to sacrifice some of their time to do the same.

“I want people to see that, even if you have a job, you can still find time to do something in your community like helping this charity shop for starters,” said Zama.

Due to the lockdown, like many other charity shops and NGOs, the SPCA shop was hit hard and has not been as successful as it usually is because of the low foot-count.

The shop staff and volunteers kindly ask the public for its support and are still looking for dedicated and passionate volunteers to join the team.

Should anyone be interested in volunteering at Scottburgh SPCA charity shop, call 066 4569550.
