Pensioner attacked in Southport home

Police spokesman Captain Petros Mpinge said the intruder threatened her with a knife and covered the pensioner’s face and mouth.

A woman (69) was allegedly tied up with a washing line cord by an unknown man who had gained entry into her home at Ocean View Road in Southport during the early hours of Monday this week.

He fled with cash and a cellphone.

He confirmed that a house robbery case is being investigated by Southport Saps Detective Service.
