Goodie bag treat for South Coast Marathon runners
Whether you are a seasoned runner or tackling your first marathon, this is the perfect challenge for you to earn your finisher medal.
The Shelly Centre has shown its support for the upcoming South Coast Marathon by sponsoring 1000 goodie bags for the runners.
Race director Deborah Reynolds received the goodie bags at a handover at the centre last week.
Manager Marie Sukkels said the centre was thrilled to play a part in an event that brings the community together.
“The race promotes an active and healthy lifestyle, and celebrates the incredible spirit of our runners. To every runner taking on the challenge, we wish you the very best of luck. From all of us at Shelly Centre, we’ll be cheering you on,” she said.
The marathon, presented by South Coast Striders and Ray Nkonyeni Municipality, will take place on Sunday, October 4.
It will start and finish at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre in Izotsha/Gamalakhe and be run over 42km marathon, 21km half-marathon, 10km run and 5km fun run.
