It appears Christmas miracles do come true… and after four years of waiting the Little Billy bridge in Ramsgate has finally been repaired.
The Ramsgate Community Police Forum (CPF) took this opportunity to remember much-loved community member, Sharon Smith who tragically died in a vehicle accident on the Little Billy bridge.

Smith who worked at Tom, Dick and Harry Pub and Grill, crashed through the railings of the bridge, plunged into the lagoon and died.
She was one of the original community patrollers and played a large part in the establishment of the Ramsgate CPF in its current form and the formation of the Ramsgate Urban Development Precinct.
Astoundingly, it took the roads department four years to repair the bridge after the accident.

In the interim, the Ramsgate Knit Twits, headed-up by multi-talented Hazel Voice had erected colourful and beautiful mandalas to cover a gap on the bridge.
