Ensuring that all your needs are tended to by the onsite staff is restaurant operator Phatokuhle ‘DJ’ Buthelezi.

Boasting almost 10 years experience in the restaurant industry, DJ is originally from Clermont in Durban, but currently lives in Gamalakhe.

“I worked as a waiter for six years, before I was promoted to head waiter, a position I held for two years at a different chain,” he said. Interestingly enough, he earned the name DJ as he used to be a deejay in his spare time, and the nickname stuck as people struggled to pronounce his real name.

Mozambik branch operator DJ Buthelezi invites the public to come through the doors and taste the spirit of Mozambik on the South Coast.

Over at the coffee bar you will find the in-house barista, Patrick Mbuthuma. Boasting six years of experience, Patrick who is originally from Gcilima, channelled his passion and love for coffee into a career.

“I trained in Joburg to become a professional barista, and since then I have never looked back,” he said. When he is not serving customers a cup of their favourite hot beverage, Patrick can be found watching Kaizer Chiefs, Barcelona or Manchester City on his days off.
