Margate cops thank locals for reporting crime

Tip-offs lead to cops arresting two drug dealers.

The community is commended for reporting drug dealers to police, and they are further encouraged to continue reporting all other criminal activities.

This comes after Margate police carried out recent patrols after they received information about a man selling drugs in the parking lot of a grocery store in Margate.

On locating the man, fitting the description, and searching him, police discovered various drugs such as crystal meth, mandrax, cash and heroin.

He was arrested for dealing in drugs and possession of drugs.

Later, police went to the CBD, where a man (34) was found with cash and various drugs.

He was arrested by the officers for possession of drugs and dealing in drugs.

Both suspects appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court on these charges.
