Trellidor Margate under new ownership
No stranger to Trellidor, Milton Lang was previously the national sales manager for the brand, and decided to take ownership of the Margate branch which has been in operation for over 30 years.
Trellidor Margate is now under the proud ownership of Milton Lang. When the previous owners, Johan and Petra du Plessis retired, he saw it as a golden opportunity to be a business owner rather than work in the corporate sector. With many years of experience in franchising, corporate as well as having owned a medical business, he is ready to take on the new challenge head-on.

No stranger to Trellidor, Lang was previously the national sales manager for the brand, and decided to take ownership of the Margate branch which has been in operation for over 30 years and enjoys a fantastic track record in the area.
He has big plans for the well-established branch. As part of Trellidor’s national strategy, Lang’s objective is to further improve on the already exceptional service levels offered.
“Staff will undergo intense product knowledge training, a combination of the experiential with the theoretical. I want them to be informed about our own products and that of competitors too.”

He described the team of six as not as just sales people but security consultants. “We are concerned about people’s holistic security, we will offer advice based on our experience, even if it may not result in a direct sale. Although we only provide the physical barriers, we will look at overall security requirements at a home or business and highlight any concerns.”

Trellidor Margate’s current service area is from Umkomaas in the north to Port St Johns in the south and inland to the Lesotho border and close to Underberg. But this will improve in future with Lang’s long-term vision for expansion.

The focus will be the under serviced areas of Kokstad, Matatiele, Umzimkhulu, Port St Johns, Lusikisiki and Mount Fletcher. “I am ready to take Trellidor products to these areas, so that people don’t have to travel far to do business with me.”
Also, the intention is to set up satellite stores, one in Kokstad and another in Lusikisiki.
Trellidor Margate also plans to partner with schools to secure IT products or admin offices and place signboards outside the institutions.

As a pro-community business, Lang also intends to continue this particular legacy which was started by the previous owners. “I want to go beyond our product. The community keeps us in business and we want to contribute where we can.” he added.
