The Nissan Magnite automatic transmission (AMT) is now available at Thompson Motors Port Shepstone and Shelly Beach.

With a starting price from R251 800, it also suits all budgets.

Sales Executive, Dylan McGovern said that the AMT derivative is an automated manual transmission.

“It combines the best of both manual and automatic transmissions, offering the convenience of automatic shifting without completely eliminating the control that the manual gearboxes provide. The gear changes are seamless and quick. The advantage of an AMT is that it is cost-effective. They are more affordable than fully fledged automatic transmissions and manufacturers can offer AMT variants at lower price points, making it more accessible to a wider audience that prefers an automatic,” said Dylan.

He added that AMT technology has advanced over the years and is featured in the majority of trucks and suits today’s market.
