Haval H6 is a genuine SUV

With a lighter build, enhanced refinement and 170kW of power and 380Nm of torque, you get confident performance and luxury in the Haval H6.

When it comes to SUVs, one is spoilt for choice. My latest test vehicle was the new Haval H6 Luxury 4WD, packing 170kW of power and 380Nm of torque…pretty impressive.

Now, I’m a guy that loves speed. I think I have received more than 20 speeding fines since I started driving – something I’m not proud of. My first fine was just a week after receiving my driver’s licence, and it was in my dad’s trusty Ford Escort 1.6GL.

Okay moving on…the Haval H6 is a genuine SUV. You get confident performance, luxury and a smooth drive. SUVs provide sleek city driving, but are also effortlessly able to handle rugged terrain, 4×4 capability or 4WD drive, which the Haval H6 does perfectly.

SUVs can come in various sizes – small, midsize or large. Now the Haval H6 is no toy, and as I previously mentioned, it’s performance is quite remarkable. The cabin is spacious and it seats passengers super comfortably.

It is available in six trim levels: Luxury, Super Luxury, Luxury 4WD, Ultra Luxury 4WD, Luxury Hybrid, and Ultra Luxury Hybrid.

I didn’t do too well with the enhanced voice command capabilities, my cellphone might have been the problem.

The 14.6-inch touchscreen and smarter connectivity offer a seamless experience, while a thicker steering wheel improves grip for confident handling.

The H6 has a ground clearance of 170mm to 180mm, depending on the specific trim and loading.
The facelifted 4WD model is considered a ‘sleeper’, offering immense value, high-end finishing, and quick acceleration for its class, with 0-100 kph in eight seconds. Well done to Haval, I enjoyed driving the H6 Luxury 4WD.
