Bail postponed for murder suspects
The family is facing a premeditated murder charge and is still in custody.
Formal application bail for the three people recently arrested in Durban on charges of murder was postponed to October 19.
A couple in their 40s, and their daughter (30), made their second appearance in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
The family is facing a premeditated murder charge and is still in custody.
It is alleged the trio had taken out life cover of R750 000 on Rashree Dwarika (52) from Phoenix in May this year, just before she moved in with them to work as a caregiver.
Dwarika was found dead in a pool at an Umzumbe holiday home on June 17. Initially, it was suspected she had drowned.
The family had issues around legal representation and their bail application had to be postponed.
