
At least six people were arrested by Saps Port Shepstone last week.
They will appear in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court on charges of common assault, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm related to domestic violence.
* Four people were arrested in Boboyi for assaulting a neighbour with gardening equipment.
* A woman (36) from Murchison was arrested for strangling a relative for her personal property.
* Another woman was arrested in Louisiana after consuming alcohol with a relative before stabbing him with a knife.
Ugu District Communications say these arrests serve to stress to the public that suspects in cases of assault will be brought before the courts to face charges and bear the consequences of a criminal record.
The public is cautioned against resorting to violence.
