Double firearm discovery for cops

The firearms will be subjected to ballistic testing to determine if they were used in the commission of other crimes.

Cops discovered not one but two firearms linked to a 23-year-old murder suspect.

Police from Paddock responded to a murder scene on Christmas day last year, where a man (24) was fatally shot after an argument.

Police arrested a man for the murder, and the firearm was confiscated.

On further investigation by Saps K9, Highway Patrol and Saps Paddock, information was received that the murder suspect had another firearm.

Police travelled to his residence in Bhomela location, where a 9mm pistol was recovered.

He will appear in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court on charges of murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm.

The firearms will be subjected to ballistic testing to determine if they were used in the commission of other crimes.
