Two arrested in stolen taxi

The vehicle was stolen in Kwadebeka in January.

Two men were arrested in a taxi in Sea Park last Wednesday, which was allegedly stolen in Kwadebeka near Durban in January.

Port Shepstone Saps communications department said officers from Southport and Port Shepstone responded to the scene after Airtrack X-treme Security received a request to track a possible stolen vehicle.

“The vehicle, a VW Sprinter, was intercepted at the Sea Park traffic lights, and two men were subsequently arrested. A case of possession of suspected stolen vehicle has been opened at Southport Saps and will be investigated further by the Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit,” said police

The vehicle was impounded. The men are due to appear in court soon.
