Housebreakings and a stabbing at the beach have left Sea Park residents concerned.
On May 10, Lazer 911 reaction unit responded to a message on a community group that a woman was stabbed at Sea Park’s main beach.
Senior operations manger Robbie Pypers and Lazer 911 reaction officers Gerhard Niemand and Dawid Enslin managed to track the man allegedly responsible for the stabbing. He was arrested and handed over to police.
The injured woman, who is believed to be from the area, was taken to hospital.
Then, a home in Vale Road in Sea Park was broken into in the early hours of May 9.
Saps Ugu District Communication said preliminary investigations show that entry could have been gained by forcing open the burglar bars.
“The intruder fled when the resident woke to find the intruder in the room. Cash, cellphones, chainsaws and other property was taken.”
A case of housebreaking and theft was opened at Saps Southport.
“The public is warned that purchasing stolen property is a crime. If they steal it and you buy it, more victims will suffer. The public is advised to reject and report stolen goods.”
