Vigilantism is the act of punishing perceived offences without legal authority.
Police remind the public that it is a crime to take the law into your own hands. Persons found guilty of vigilantism will be prosecuted.
No person may assault or kill a person, even if they suspect that the person might be guilty of a crime. The public is encouraged to report any criminal activities to the nearest police station or call 10111 in case of an emergency.
