Security officers nab criminals
The men were found with Eskom cables, home electricity cables, house breaking implements and assorted fake jewellery.
Two men found in possession of suspected stolen property were arrested in Umkomaas last Thursday.
The arrests were made as part of a joint operation in the fight against crime by AT Security and Gladiator Security Services in the Umkomaas CBD.
The men were found with Eskom cables, home electricity cables, house breaking implements and assorted fake jewellery.
They were handed over to Umkomaas Saps and charged. It was also discovered that they both have previous convictions.
In a separate incident the following day, AT Security responded to reports of a break-in on Barrow Street, Umkomaas.
The man was apprehended and detained at Umkomaas Saps for theft.
The complainant mentioned that a sewing machine was stolen during the break-in. Investigations revealed that it was sold at the Umkomaas taxi rank.
