Man arrested on Sezela bridge for unlicensed gun
He will appear in the Scottburgh Magistrate's Court.
Scottburgh police have arrested a 27-year-old man for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
Members were performing routine patrols on the N2 near Sezela last Sunday when they received information regarding the man, who was near the Sezela bridge.
They responded and identified the man who was then searched.
He was found to be in possession of a 9mm Vektor firearm, as well as six live rounds of ammunition.
“He failed to produce a firearm license, was arrested, and will appear in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court on charges of possession of unlicensed firearm and possession of unlicensed ammunition,” said Ugu District Saps.
