Break-in foiled at railway power facility in Clansthal

Two people were arrested and tools confiscated.

Security officers were able to foil an attempted break-in and theft in Clansthal on Sunday.

According to the team, Gladiator Security received a report from a vigilant community member about a loud chopping noise coming from inside a Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa power facility, near the railway line.

The team responded and secured the area, locking external doors and awaited back-up.

Once back-up arrived, two suspects were arrested inside the building. Saps was notified and the duo was taken into custody.

A bakkie and tools (including a bolt cutter) at the site were confiscated.

Gladiator Security thanks the community member for being alert and reporting the suspicious activity to the team and to Saps for assistance.

The public is reminded: if you see something, say something.
