Kathy Scrooby appears in Port Shepstone court on fraud, theft charges
The woman will be back in court on October 9.
Aletta Sussana Scrooby also known as ‘Kathy Scrooby’ appeared in the Port Shepstone Regional Court on July 15 on charges of fraud, theft, forgery and uttering.
It is alleged that the 54-year-old woman was summoned to court after producing fraudulent documents for the sale of a property in Uvongo in October 2019.
It is alleged that she produced falsified documents from an advocate and entered into purchase and sale agreements although she did not have the funds to secure the purchase of the property.
It is also alleged that within that period she occupied the property and wrongfully and intentionally stole beddings and other items which was in the lawful possession of the owner of the property.
Saps Ugu District Communications confirmed the charges and said that Scrooby is back in court on October 9.
