Mystery surrounds identity of deceased woman
The woman died at a South Coast hospital after being admitted for treatment.
Police have launched an investigation following the death of an unidentified woman at a local hospital on the South Coast.
The woman, believed to be about 60 years old, died on June 24 after being admitted for treatment on June 16.
Police described her as short, of small build, with loosely plaited hair.
Despite enquiries, no missing persons cases matching her description have been reported at Saps Port Shepstone or neighbouring police stations.
Police are appealing to anyone who may be able to identify the woman or provide information that could assist the investigation to contact Detective Warrant Officer Ayesha Mariano of the Port Shepstone Detective Service on 039-688-1055 or 072-047-1036.
