Man dies after cutting hand at a residence in Port Shepstone
The circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated.
A 38-year-old man died at a residence in Athlone Drive, Port Shepstone in the early hours of September 22.
According to information from Lazer 911, a client reported hearing a man shouting for help at her gate.
A Lazer 911 reaction officer responded and found the man seeking assistance after reportedly cutting his hand on a window.
The officer reported that the injury was severe, with veins and bone visible.
An ambulance was called, but while waiting for emergency medical services, the man reportedly lost consciousness.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and declared him deceased.
Saps confirmed that police are investigating, and no arrests have been made.
