Sardine Run action kicks off in mid-South Coast areas

There has just been a successful netting by Team Moonlite in Umgababa.

Well-known seine netter, Tony Outar said that it seems to be a hopeful day for sardine action along the South Coast.

Outar from Team Moonlite was at Scottburgh beach earlier this morning with other seine netters.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t a very successful morning at Scottburgh beach with the sards, but the determined netters continued to try their luck.

Team Moonlite then headed to Umgababa where they have just had a successful netting, proving that patience pays off.

Yesterday, the team netted around 400 crates in Hibberdene.

And even though the netting in Scottburgh didn’t go as planned this morning, locals were still more than excited to witness some action in the mid-South Coast and are crossing fingers for more in the days to come.
