Talent sought for touring musical
People are needed to be a part of the drama, dance, poetry and music categories.
Youth from the South Coast have been given a golden opportunity to tour South Africa and showcase their talents through Mbopha Ka Sthayi, The Musical.
Artistic coordinator Kwanele Madondo from Umzinto is currently on the lookout for talented individuals to join the team.
“If you are available and have a love for the arts, then get in touch with us at the soonest,” he said.
Madondo is looking for people to fit in the drama, dance, poetry and music categories and who are able to get into character and be passionate about theatre as this play promises some great exposure. Those interested also need to have general knowledge of South African history.
The play is about Mbopha Ka Sthayi, who was the right-hand man of King Shaka Zulu, and it is an educational production for people who want to learn more about South African culture and heritage.
“Young people, especially Africans, need to know about their rich history of which Mbopha Ka Sthayi is a part,” said Madondo.
The play is fully supported by the National Arts Council.
