Driver dies after vehicle plunges off N2, Umzinto bridge

The body has been handed over to Saps.

A 37 year old man has died after driving his vehicle off the N2, Umzinto bridge earlier today.

IPSS Medical Rescue received reports of the incident, and upon paramedics arrival, it was established that man lost control of his vehicle, resulting in him driving off the bridge and landing in the river below.

He was declared dead on the scene.

Paramedics and volunteers from IPSS Search and Rescue assisted Saps Search and Rescue in recovering the body, which was then handed over to police.
