WEATHER WARNING: Scorching temperatures expected for KZN South Coast

Make sure you and your pets stay cool and hydrated.

Hot to very hot conditions are expected across KwaZulu-Natal, becoming extremely hot in places with high humidity along the coast.

This will result in high discomfort temperatures of 38 to 42 for today (Jan 3) and tomorrow (Jan 4).

Affected areas are Ray Nkonyeni Municipality, Umzumbe and Umdoni.

Impacts:
– Increase in heat related illness
– Increase in wildfire incidences
– Restriction to outdoor activities

What to do:
– Stay cool and hydrated.
– Reduce exposure to heat.
– Wear protective clothing
– Apply sunscreen frequently
