Football and ingoma highlight of festival

Football matches and ingoma (Zulu traditional dancing) were the highlights of the festival.

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture held the Ugu District Festival at the Nkanini Sports Centre in Mtwalume in mid December last year.

The festival, which included club development activities such as football, was organised in collaboration with Umzumbe Municipality.

Football matches and ingoma (Zulu traditional dancing) were the highlights of the festival.

The matches were action-packed.

It was attended by MEC Mntomuhle Khawula and officials from Umzumbe Municipality.

Local artists such as Mjolisi and Woodblock DJs provided entertainment.
