Children’s party brings festive cheer

Children enjoyed a hearty lunch, cooldrinks and sweets, and each child received a gift pack.

The primary objective of the annual children’s party hosted by Ward 12 councillor Leon Garbade late last year was to bring the youth and community activists together.

The well-planned Christmas party was held at Christian Life Centre in Albersville and saw youth from Palmview and surrounding areas come together and interact with not only Garbade and the community activists, but with learners from Port Shepstone High’s Rotary Interact Club.

Some of the activities held were face painting and plays. Children enjoyed a hearty lunch, cooldrinks and sweets, and each child received a gift pack.

“This party was certainly not political; it was to bring the children together during a special time of the year. I thank all those who assisted in making it a success,” said Garbade.

Ward 12 councillor Leon Garbade together with community activists and learners from Port Shepstone High School had a lovely Christmas party for the children of Ward 12 in Albersville.
