Grandkids have fun at retirement village
The outdoor activities were cancelled and replaced with a variety of indoor adventures within the village.
A recent Grandkids Week at Widenham Retirement Village took an unexpected turn due to weather conditions, causing the organisers to shift plans.
The outdoor activities were cancelled and replaced with a variety of indoor adventures within the village.
Despite the change, the children were eager to wrap up the week, excited to reunite during the July holidays with the new friends they have made.
Among the fun-filled indoor activities were build-a-burger, table tennis, line dancing, indoor games and bingo, as well as creative sessions like beading and swimming pool fun.
The children also enjoyed a night hike on the trails, fishing in the dam and even a unique ‘pond-dipping’ experience.
With such active and engaged grandparents at the retirement village, it’s no surprise the children love to visit year after year.
