Bushbuck released on Mother’s Day

Rose was released back into the wild on Mother's Day.

Earlier this month, Herald readers were introduced to Rose, the injured bushbuck found by guards at Selborne Estate.

She had a bleeding hind area and missing tail believed to be from an animal attack. When her mother did not show up, she was taken in by the Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW).

Since her rescue in October she has made a full recovery – thanks to generous sponsorships which enabled CROW to provide her with a specialised diet, veterinary care and support.

Rose was released back into the wild on Mother’s Day.

CROW is grateful to everyone that chose to sponsor Rose and said that there was no better tribute to motherhood on this special day, than helping a life heal and return home.
