Powering up for pickleball fun at Port Shepstone Country Club [PICS]

Some tried their hand at the sport for the first time - and loved it.

Port Shepstone Country Club served up something new and exciting last Sunday – the launch of the town’s first-ever pickleball court.

Among the first to hit the court were spirited teams from the Beekman Group and the South Coast Herald, who brought their A-game (and their sense of humour) to the demo matches.

Whether you were smashing winners or having a good laugh over missed shots, the fun was nonstop.

The fast-paced paddle sport, a mix of tennis, badminton and ping pong, proved a hit with players of all ages.

Good match for Nellie Davis.

The launch ran alongside the Lions’ Market Day, adding to the festive vibe with stalls, children activities and plenty of on-court action.
