National Cupcake Day a sweet success in Scottburgh
This annual initiative has gained a lot of support in the mid-South Coast area.
Hosted by the Lions Club of Scottburgh in support of Cupcakes of Hope, National Cupcake Day in Scottburgh was a super sweet success.
A total of 650 beautifully made and scrumptious cupcakes were completely sold out at Scottburgh Mall.
This beat last year’s total of 300, and the previous year’s 150 cupcakes, showing just how much support this annual initiative has gained in the mid-South Coast.
“Every cupcake sold helps us raise funds for children with cancer – turning sweet treats into hope,” said Liz Book.
“As the Cupcake Coordinator and Director for Health at Scottburgh Lions, I am so proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and I know we’ll keep growing each year!”
Scottburgh Lions, together with Cupcakes of Hope, thanks all dedicated bakers who worked tirelessly, and are grateful for the supportive community.
Ward 15’s Clr Dana Daniels also gives a heartfelt thank you to Scottburgh Lions and volunteer bakers for raising funds for children with cancer, and thanks the schools and residents who supporting The Bake Box Initiative.
“The National Cupcake Day fundraiser at Scottburgh Mall was a great success due to the incredible support of our community for Cupcakes of Hope and our Lil Warriors,” she said.
