JUST IN: 7 children injured in taxi crash near Port Shepstone

Emergency services and the relevant authorities attended the scene. 

Seven schoolchildren were injured when a taxi and a seven-seater vehicle collided in Merlewood, near Port Shepstone, on Friday morning.

According to Trauma 911, two children were taken to a provincial hospital, while five were transported to a private hospital for further medical care.

No injuries were reported from passengers in the seven-seater vehicle.

Emergency services, including Med-Evac and the relevant authorities attended the scene.
