Man shot in Marburg, rushed to hospital

Bystanders were taken by surprise when a man was shot on a busy Watterson Street in Marburg yesterday morning.

The incident occurred around 07:00.

The man was injured in the shooting – it is not known how seriously at this stage – and taken to hospital were he is receiving the necessary treatment.

An official police statement is awaited regarding this incident.
