It was founded by Gerrie Odendaal five years ago, and now boasts more than 100 loyal members.

The Amateur Karaoke Association (AKA) celebrated its fifth anniversary in lively style at Pistols Saloon in Ramsgate last Thursday evening.

The venue was packed with nearly 80 members and a number of holidaymakers, all ready to enjoy a night of fun and music.

Hitting the right notes is Jay-Jay van der Merwe.

Singing kicked off at 17:00 and carried on late into the night, with some members still performing close to midnight. Guests were treated to pizzas and drinks, while several guest artists added to the entertainment, making it a night to remember.

“We all just love music and singing.”
