Fire performers host community sessions in Margate and Uvongo

Free lessons are offered to beginners using non-fire practice props.

Fire Performers SA (Pty) Ltd is hosting regular community practice sessions along the South Coast, offering a creative and structured space to learn and develop skills in flow arts and fire performance.

Practice makes perfect for Zhevaün Roberts.

Two sessions are scheduled for January: Friday, January 23 at Margate Beach from 17:30 to 20:00 and Friday, January 30 at Uvongo Beach from 17:30 to 20:00.

The sessions aim to promote meditation, focus, discipline and improved hand-eye coordination, positioning flow arts as a positive and healthy community activity.

The founder of the group is Zhevaün Roberts from Uvongo who has taken the initiative to keep the South Coast entertained by performing at various venues such as hotels, markets, corporate events and even birthday parties.

He says the gatherings are designed to be inclusive, welcoming both newcomers and experienced performers within a strong framework of safety and supervision.

Free lessons are offered to beginners using non-fire practice props, while aspiring performers receive guided training.
